Joe Kent-Walters Is Frankie Monroe: Live!!!
Fresh from winning the Best Newcomer Award at the prestigious Edinburgh Fringe, Joe Kent-Walters brings his legendary character, Frankie Monroe, to the Whistle & Flute, as part of the Nottingham Comedy Festival.
Here he is! Yorkshire’s biggest bastard. Join owner and MC of The Misty Moon (working men’s club in Rotherham/portal to hell) for a slap-up feast of laughs, tricks and mucky bitter.
Can Frankie save showbiz? Can he protect his club from demonic ruin?? Can you touch his special trowel??? (NO WAY!).
‘Echoes of The League of Gentlemen and Reeves & Mortimer’ (Scotsman).
‘Once seen, never forgotten, physically commands the stage and beyond… barnstorming nonsense’ (Chortle.co.uk).

Support will be ably provided by Stan Skinny, twice winner of the Sheffield Comedian of the Year Award and star of many of our shows over the past two years. Since we first saw him as the eponymous Stanley Norman, we have loved his comedy creations, such as his unforgettable Captain “The Butcher” Reality, who has performed in the caves for us before to great acclaim.
Please be advised that our comedy line-ups are subject to change. Our talented comedians are in high demand and, on occasion, may need to cancel at short notice for television or radio recordings, among other reasons. Rest assured, we will always provide a replacement act of similar quality to ensure that our guests receive a great overall show experience.
While most of our guests come for the entire show, we understand that some may be travelling to see a particular comedian. If that’s the case, we recommend checking our website on the day of the show or joining our mailing list to receive the latest updates on any changes to the line-up. We’re committed to providing our guests with the best possible experience, and we thank you for your understanding.
Please note that the show starts at 8pm, so please ensure you leave plenty of time to get to your seat before the first act.
