Alistair Williams (Headliner)
Alistair Williams describes his comedy style as the ramblings of a moron. He must be doing something right though as he is highly regarded as one of the most exciting newer acts on the UK comedy circuit. Other people have described him as a ‘must see comedian for those looking for straight out laughs’.
An observational storyteller, Alistair has been performing stand-up for many years; rising through the ranks at a rate of knots excelling in any situation he is put in. After winning the Piccadilly Comedy Club’s New Comedian of the Year 2014 award and reaching the finals of prestigious competitions (Amused Moose Laugh Off, Leicester Square New Act and Laughing Horse New Act) Alistair is already on his way to the top.
Combining high energy with a super charismatic stage presence, Alistair is one of those rare commodities in the comedy world with his consistent ability to produce new material of the highest standard. However long his set, it is sure to be packed with gags from start to finish; he is a genuine joke machine.
Recently, Alistair has been featured multiple times on TalkSport radio, combining his loves of football and comedy.
Alistair took his debut show ‘I’ve Started So I’m Finished’ to the Edinburgh Fringe Festival this year. In this highly anticipated show, Alistair finally says goodbye to his pre-comedian lifestyle and explores what it’s like to give up everything he knows in pursuit of his comedy dream.
“He has a charming and confident stage manner and his material is fresh and very funny. He endeared himself to the audience and left the stage to a loud round of applause.” – Bearcat Comedy
Dave Longley (Headliner)
David Longley is a difficult comedian to define; on the one hand, abrasive, crude and insulting and on the other,
articulate, intelligent and disarmingly funny.
Longley’s towering stage presence and intensity, combined with his cutting wit have made him one of the most popular and controversial circuit comics in the UK, whether it’s doling out thought-provoking insights or revelling in toilet humour, Longley is a gifted wordsmith with great audience interaction skills.
David has a humble silliness which ingratiates him to audiences, he delivers deadpan accounts of his everyday life which are shockingly honest, well considered and divinely funny, maintaining a rapport with the audience that is at once edgy and accessible, engaging the whole room.
Longley is a regular headline act at comedy clubs all over the country and is also in demand as an MC. As well as being a great addition to any club line up, David had also written and performed four full length festival solo shows at the Edinburgh Festival Fringe, each one greeted with critical acclaim. These shows have demonstrated his style of mixing everyday trials and tribulations with philosophical ideas which work beautifully together to create an enjoyable hour; an hour those audiences rarely forget.
He has a skillful eye for the nuance in dialogue and incident, which transfers from his stage act to his screen writing with delightful results. He writes across a variety of genres and is currently working on sitcom, drama and documentary script ideas.
