Bingham Comedy Club

Bingham Comedy Club

The Horse & Plough is host to our next brilliant Bingham Comedy Club on the 4th December 2025!

Check out this astonishing lineup:

Ian Whitcombe

Ian Whitcombe (MC)
Live at the Apollo, Mock the Week, Taskmaster and Britain’s Got Talent are just a few of the programmes Ian has never appeared on. The list is literally endless!

Groan-inducing puns, sparkling one-liners and stories about where doctors like to put their fingers mean that this act is a must-see.

Ian’s one-liners are well thought out, clever and genuinely laugh out loud’ – Oli Clarke, Toolmakers Comedy Club

Ian has a natural & likeable stage presence with good pacing and nice jokes’ – Greg Phillips – Laffa Cake Comedy

Jacob Nussey

Jacob Nussey (Headliner)

Jacob Nussey unassumingly draws in audiences with his deadpan style, sharp jokes, and ill-fated anecdotes with clever punchlines.

Jacob quickly established himself on the comedy circuit, performing tour support for Jason Manford, Russell Kane, and Jack Carroll.

He was named by Chortle as one to watch in 2023. After winning Bury Met Comedian of the Year, and West Didsbury Comedy Festival New Act of the Year. As well as being a finalist Leicester Square Theatre Comedian of the year.

Jacob was also featured in The Times, The Telegraph, and Dave joke of the fringe lists 2025. And previously reached the semi-finals of British Comedian of the Year and So You Think You’re Funny in 2021.

He’s seriously funny and well worth seeing in person!

Harry Jenkins

Harry Jenkins (Opener)

A “born and bred Brummie,” Harry Jenkins resides in Selly Park, Birmingham. He made his stand-up debut in December 2022 for Reckless Comedy at The Royal Pug in Leamington Spa, Warwickshire, appearing alongside established comic Andrew Bird, and since January 2025 has been pursuing comedy full-time – as both an event promoter and comedian.

“I just try and come across likeable and affable on stage and just talk about anything I think might be funny and more than anything just enjoy being up there,” he says of his approach to stand-up which has been shaped by his admiration for such acts as Billy Connolly, Frank Skinner, Russell Howard, Lindsey Santoro and Rob Rouse.

With just 18 months worth of gigs under his belt, Harry Jenkins is a rising star of the UK comedy circuit, known for his dry, dead pan, irreverent take on every day life.

Harry was crowned 2024’s Leicester Comedy Festival Comedy World Cup Winner, The Funhouse Champion Gong Winner of 2024, Nottingham Comedy Review’s New Act of the Year and was a finalist in the Southport Comedy Festival Comedian of the Year Competition in late 2023.

He also was a runner up at the infamous Comedy Store Gong Show and won his heats of this years Get-Up Stand-Up New Act of the Year Competition, the Leicester Square New Comedian of the Year and Kung Fu Pug New Comedian of the Year. Harry was also a finalist in the prestigious 2024 Welsh Unsigned Stand-Up (WUSA).

Harry regularly performs with the likes of The Stand Up Club in London and has supported names like Ignacio Lopez and Luisa Omielan on their tours.

El Purnell

El Purnell (Middle)

With over 10 years of live performance experience, El Purnell brings something very unique and exciting to any comedy night.

His comedy is unlike anyone else on the circuit, and it is a real treat to behold.

Do not miss this very different act.

Please be advised that our comedy line-ups are subject to change. Our talented comedians are in high demand and, on occasion, may need to cancel at short notice for television or radio recordings, among other reasons. Rest assured, we will always provide a replacement act of similar quality to ensure that our guests receive a great overall show experience.

While most of our guests come for the entire show, we understand that some may be travelling to see a particular comedian. If that’s the case, we recommend checking our website on the day of the show or joining our mailing list to receive the latest updates on any changes to the line-up. We’re committed to providing our guests with the best possible experience, and we thank you for your understanding.

This event is an 18+ event and may contain strong language.
