Bingham Comedy Club
The Horse & Plough is host to our next brilliant Bingham Comedy Club on the 1st May 2025!
Check out this astonishing line up:
Ian Whitcombe (MC)
Live at the Apollo, Mock the Week, Taskmaster and Britain’s Got Talent are just a few of the programmes Ian’ has never appeared on. The list is literally endless!
Groan-inducing puns, sparkling one-liners and stories about where doctors like to put their fingers mean that this act is a must-see.
Ian’s one-liners are well thought out, clever and genuinely laugh out loud’ – Oli Clarke, Toolmakers Comedy Club
Ian has a natural & likeable stage presence with good pacing and nice jokes’ – Greg Phillips – Laffa Cake Comedy
Ben Briggs (Headliner)
A professional comedian for over 15 years, Ben has worked as both an act and compere for some of the biggest clubs in the UK and abroad.
He is brash, honest, razor sharp and at times dark but always very, very funny. Ben has appeared at the Leicester, Nottingham, Birmingham and Edinburgh Comedy festivals. In 2015 he was finalist in the English Comedian of the Year.

‘inherently appealing style’ – chortle.co.uk
Alex Cahill (Opener)
Alex brings his unique blend of stand-up and sleight of hand to the stage in a whirlwind of laughs and illusions. Expect quick wit, baffling magic, and a healthy dose of mischief from this comic conjurer. A seasoned performer with a cheeky charm, Alex turns tricks and tickles ribs in equal measure. Not your average magician—this is comedy with a twist!
Jack Kelly (Middle)
Jack Kelly has spent most of his life narrowly avoiding success. Back when he worked for Tesco, he was runner up in the prestigious Best Colleague Award, just pipped at the post by Dennis from checkouts. Despite his popularity, Jack still suspects Dennis was putting customers’ points onto his own Clubcard, which would explain how he went to Alton Towers so frequently.
You may have seen Jack on TV as the back of his head once appeared on Channel 5 – an uncredited appearance – but still a cameo his Mum insists on sharing to Facebook when it appears in her memories. This was the first time Jack noticed he was balding.
In February 2019, Jack got up and told some jokes to twelve people above a cocktail bar in Glossop and he’s been trying to replicate that rush of dopamine ever since.
He’s also written for BBC Radio 4, is a regular host for the award-winning The Laughienda Comedy Club, has had two successful runs at Edinburgh Festival Fringe and was a finalist for Greater Manchester Fringe Comedian Of The Year. But talking about things like that gives him the ick.
Chloe Reynolds (Middle)
Chloe is an incredible act who will have you laughing your socks off.

While most of our guests come for the entire show, we understand that some may be travelling to see a particular comedian. If that’s the case, we recommend checking our website on the day of the show or joining our mailing list to receive the latest updates on any changes to the line-up. We’re committed to providing our guests with the best possible experience, and we thank you for your understanding.
