Bingham Comedy Night

The Horse & Plough Comedy Night

After the huge success of the first two Bingham Comedy nights, we are ready for the next one !

The Horse & Plough is host to our next brilliant comedy night on the 29th February 2024 !

Check out this astonishing line up :

Ian Whitcombe (MC)

Live at the Apollo, Mock the Week, Taskmaster and Britain’s Got Talent are just a few of the programmes Ian’ has never appeared on. The list is literally endless!

Groan-inducing puns, sparkling one-liners and stories about where doctors like to put their fingers mean that this act is a must-see.

Ian’s one-liners are well thought out, clever and genuinely laugh out loud’ – Oli Clarke, Toolmakers Comedy Club

Ian has a natural & likeable stage presence with good pacing and nice jokes’ – Greg Phillips – Laffa Cake Comedy

Dave Longley (Closer)

David Longley is a difficult comedian to define; on the one hand, abrasive, crude and insulting and on the other,
articulate, intelligent and disarmingly funny.

Longley’s towering stage presence and intensity, combined with his cutting wit have made him one of the most popular and controversial circuit comics in the UK, whether it’s doling out thought-provoking insights or revelling in toilet humour, Longley is a gifted wordsmith with great audience interaction skills.

David has a humble silliness which ingratiates him to audiences, he delivers deadpan accounts of his everyday life which are shockingly honest, well considered and divinely funny, maintaining a rapport with the audience that is at once edgy and accessible, engaging the whole room.

Longley is a regular headline act at comedy clubs all over the country and is also in demand as an MC. As well as being a great addition to any club line up, David had also written and performed four full length festival solo shows at the Edinburgh Festival Fringe, each one greeted with critical acclaim. These shows have demonstrated his style of mixing everyday trials and tribulations with philosophical ideas which work beautifully together to create an enjoyable hour; an hour those audiences rarely forget.

He has a skillful eye for the nuance in dialogue and incident, which transfers from his stage act to his screen writing with delightful results. He writes across a variety of genres and is currently working on sitcom, drama and documentary script ideas.

TV and film
Writer – 8 Out of 10 Cats – 2014 – Channel 4

Sallyann Fellowes (Opener)

Sallyann is a self-diagnosed weirdo. She’s neurodiverse, utterly mystified by the world she inhabits, and sure as Haribo doesn’t get the human race. She’s the most likely person to fall over nothing or get lost in a toilet.

Winner of the New Forest Comedian of the Year – 2023

2Northdown new act competition 2021 finalist

Comedy Bloomers LGBTQ+ new comedian of the year 2022 semi-finalist

“Sallyann will surprise you at every turn with hilarious real-life anecdotes and spirited delivery” – Martin Willis, founder of Objectively Funny

Captain “The Butcher” Reality (Middle)

One of the most surreal and hugely entertaining acts on the circuit today. Stan Skinny’s character act, Captain “The Butcher” Reality brought the house down at one of our recent gigs with his crazy and hugely funny antics. Hold on to your seats for this one !

Josh Sedman (Middle)

Josh was born and raised in Leeds but don’t let that put you off. Starting comedy in February this year he’s been gigging nonstop ever since with stories and one-liners, he works his way through hair loss, relationships and much more. Being described as both enthusiastic and dry you can only hope they were talking about his jokes.

“Confident, cheeky and charismatic. Great gags and a lovely rapport with the audience, who enjoyed the set from start to finish” –  SB Comedy Sessions

Please be advised that our comedy line-ups are subject to change. Our talented comedians are in high demand and, on occasion, may need to cancel at short notice for television or radio recordings, among other reasons. Rest assured, we will always provide a replacement act of similar quality to ensure that our guests receive a great overall show experience.

While most of our guests come for the entire show, we understand that some may be travelling to see a particular comedian. If that’s the case, we recommend checking our website on the day of the show or joining our mailing list to receive the latest updates on any changes to the line-up. We’re committed to providing our guests with the best possible experience, and we thank you for your understanding.
