Tony Burgess (Headliner)
Tony Burgess is an award winning stand-up comedian, writer and actor based in Manchester.
With his instantly engaging stage persona, Tony Burgess weaves fantastic gags into sometimes surreal stories about northern family life, which for over 25 years has proved a hit with the crowds on the UK comedy circuit.
Tony was the winner of the prestigious City Life Comedian of the Year (other winners include John Bishop and Peter Kay), came runner up in So You Think You’re Funny and was nominated for best stand up and writer at the North West comedy awards.
Tony’s been a regular compere of the long-established Frog and Bucket Comedy club for over 20 years, a founder member of the weekly topical show at the Comedy Store in Manchester and has supported household names like Johnny Vegas on National Theatre tours.
He wrote on the first two series of cult BBC 3 sitcom Ideal, co-wrote a Sony Award winning Radio 4 comedy, The Nightclass, with Johnny Vegas and penned his ownseven part BBC sitcom The Visit, which played to much acclaim on both BBC3 and BBC1.
Tony has also written for many big name comedians including Steve Coogan (Paul and Pauline Calf’s Cheese and Ham Sandwich), Johnny Vegas (the Sony award winning radio comedy Nightclass and Who’s Ready For Ice Cream) Lily Savage and John Bishop (John Bishop’s Britain). Tony even managed to get a writing credit on Wallace and Gromit’s The Curse of the Were Rabbit, so his kids now believe that he’s got a proper job.
As an actor you may recognise Tony from his role in the cult BBC3 comedy Ideal where he played DJ Troy, Moz’s crazy, vinyl obsessed brother; or maybe
you’ve seen DJ Troy’s latest reincarnation in the recent webseries DJ Troy: The Siege Of Troy.
Jenny Hart (Opener)
Jenny is an award winning musical comedian with a penchant for dark humour and REALLY catchy songs and as well all playing all over the UK and Europe she’s been spotted as far as Australia and the USA.
She’s GLOBAL baby!
Originally hailing from Woking but now living in Manchester, Jenny is a much loved regular at some of the biggest Comedy Clubs in the UK, and having worked her way up through the circuit she delivers a wild and exotic brand of comedy that will light up any night.

Martin Davis (MC)
Martin returns to Comedy in the Caves as MC after his barnstorming performance as opening act in March. We had a tremendous number of people ask us to bring him back and that’s exactly what we’ve done

Carl Jones (Middle)
Midlands comic Carl Jones first hit the circuit in 2011 after winning the Nottingham Comedy Festival Best Newcomer in his first handful of gigs. Since then, he’s gone on to reach the BBC New Comedy Award heats, the latter stages of numerous national new act competitions and gig at some of the top comedy clubs across the UK.
Away from the stage, Carl is a regular contributor to BBC Radio’s comedy output and his writing has been heard on Newsjack, The Show What You Wrote and, most recently, as additional writer on national institution The News Quiz on BBC Radio 4.
He also has a podcast, When Football Began Again, all about the Premier League era and a couple of books to his name as well.
He released his first book, Be In That Number, about Tottenham Hotspur Supporters’ Clubs around the world and also Winless, where he spent a season following struggling semi-professional football team New Mills.
With a growing reputation as an engaging storytelling comedian and welcoming MC who is able to play a variety of rooms, he is a regular opener, middle, closer and host for a wide range of comedy clubs of all sizes across the UK.
