Join us for a fantastic night of live comedy, featuring some of the brightest and best comics in the country. Enjoy hours of laughter with these incredible acts : Ian Whitcombe (MC) Live at the Apollo, Mock the Week and Taskmaster are just a few of the shows Ian has never been on. The list is literally endless. Although Ian is a comic mostly known for his classic one liner work, he is equally at ease with audience interaction and making everyone in the room feel included in the show. “Ian’s one liners are well thought out, clever and genuinely laugh out loud” – Oli Clarke, Toolmakers Comedy Club “Ian has a natural & likable stage presence with good pacing and nice jokes” – Greg Phillips David Eagle (Headliner) David is one of the funniest, fastest rising acts on the comedy circuit. He recently starred on BBC Radio 4’s “Now Show” and performs at the UK’s top comedy clubs every week. With David being blind, his comedy often explores how his disability means the most ordinary, commonplace events are turned into surreal and convoluted dramas. Occasionally he dons his accordion (often as a spiteful repost to hecklers) and performs one of his comedy songs, such as his George Formby parody, described by the Guardian as “a comic tour de force.” As well as being an officially funny stand-up comedian, David is a member of three-time BBC Radio 2 Folk Award winning band The Young’uns. Having previously conquered the world of folk music, enjoying all of the trappings that come with it – the money, the glamour, the women – David branched out into stand up. He was crowned New Comedian Of The Year by Leicester Square Theatre in 2019 a year which also saw him win new act competitions at Bath Comedy Festival and Nottingham Comedy Festival, and has been nominated Best Newcomer at the Chortle Awards. “Brilliant, Nuts. Heartily recommend,” Rufus Hound. “If not for the virus, David Eagle would be closing nights, constantly. A genuine stand up phenomenon! Looking forward to hearing more.” (Reginald D Hunter) “Just seen the future of stand up comedy and his name is David Eagle.” (Boothby Graffoe) Benny Shakes From the moment he walks on stage Benny fills a room with his presence” Steve McLean “Funny man. Brimming with natural like-ability that warms an audience and has some killer jokes to boot.” – Joe Zalias “Love Benny’s comedy. He’s a fabulous nutter! What’s not to like?” – Kyle Wallace from G&B Comedy Night Alexandra Krekan Alexandra Krekan is a young lady in search of a happy ending. Besides talking about her struggles of being an immigrant in the UK, she also shares some insight into her love of life and people she’s been dating (one of them being her half-brother). Alex doesn’t know what might be off-putting about her that she can’t find a boyfriend since her last break-up. Might be the dark jokes? Multiple sell-out shows at Leicester Comedy Festival 2022 “Fantastically dark! I wasn’t expecting it to go where it went but seriously loved every second. I predict big things” – Fat Theo Ian Peskett As the poster child for the formula “tragedy + time = comedy” Ian’s tales of misadventure will keep you on the edge of your seat. “One of the most promising up and coming acts on the East Midlands Comedy circuit.” Spiky Mike – Funhouse Comedy Hussain Ali Hussein is an observational comedian who shares a mixtures of punchy jokes and short stories from a unique perspective. A truly eloquent master of the misdirect and patron of the punchline. His intelligent delivery will have you clutching at your sides in Laughter. He’s won the infamous “Beat the Gong” in Stockton in December 2022. Vittorio Angelone – “One for the future, keep an eye out” Peter Fox – (Nottingham Comedy Review) – “He’s a very promising act”
