Stevie has performed all over the world at comedy clubs, theatres and music festivals, as well as writing and performing for the BBC, ITV, FHM and Sky Sports. “Like watching sunshine” – Notts Comedy Review David Eagle (Headliner) David is one of the funniest, fastest rising acts on the comedy circuit. He recently starred on BBC Radio 4’s “Now Show” and performs at the UK’s top comedy clubs every week. With David being blind, his comedy often explores how his disability means the most ordinary, commonplace events are turned into surreal and convoluted dramas. Occasionally he dons his accordion (often as a spiteful repost to hecklers) and performs one of his comedy songs, such as his George Formby parody, described by the Guardian as “a comic tour de force.” As well as being an officially funny stand-up comedian, David is a member of three-time BBC Radio 2 Folk Award winning band The Young’uns. Having previously conquered the world of folk music, enjoying all of the trappings that come with it – the money, the glamour, the women – David branched out into stand up. He was crowned New Comedian Of The Year by Leicester Square Theatre in 2019 a year which also saw him win new act competitions at Bath Comedy Festival and Nottingham Comedy Festival, and has been nominated Best Newcomer at the Chortle Awards. “Brilliant, Nuts. Heartily recommend,” Rufus Hound. “If not for the virus, David Eagle would be closing nights, constantly. A genuine stand up phenomenon! Looking forward to hearing more.” (Reginald D Hunter) “Just seen the future of stand up comedy and his name is David Eagle.” (Boothby Graffoe) Doug Carter (Opener) Winner of the Midlands Comedy Awards Best Newcomer and Rising Star in consecutive years, 2018 and 2019. Notts Comedy Review Best Newcomer, 2018. NCF New Comedian Competition winner 2019. This guy is one to watch’ – Comedy Lounge Hull. ‘Carter had the audience eating out of the palm of his hand almost as soon as he picked the mic up.’ – Peter Fox – Notts Comedy Review Jack McLean Jack McLean is a comedian from Hull, now living in Leeds. He started performing stand-up in September ‘21 and has been an emotional wreck ever since. Having been shortlisted for the BBC New Comedy Awards 2022 Showcase he went on to win the inaugural Bask in Laughter competition as well as picking up gong show victories at both the Hull Comedy Lounge and Funhouse Comedy Club in Derby. “This lad is going places” Notts Comedy Review “Hull Boy and rising star Jack McLean, he’s becoming a quick fan favourite” Cottingham Comedy Club “Jack was laugh out loud funny from the first min to the last, our crowd loved them! Without doubt, a genuine, laugh out loud, one to watch” Toolmakers Comedy Club Hannah Margaret Hannah is a born and bred Leeds Lass. She is an actor who wasn’t getting enough attention so turned her hand to comedy. Join her as she attempts to explain all things – from relationships to the unknown to why nasa can’t be trusted – in a way only she can. “Hannah was captivating, off the wall and laugh out loud funny from the moment she walked on stage” – Toolmakers Comedy Club BBC Caroline Aherne Bursary Award Shortlist Nominee Eddy Midgley Eddy Midgley’s quarter life crisis hit him like a shovel. Now, he attempts to find humour in his most chaotic stories and scrapes. As a self diagnosed hypochondriac, who spends a bit too much time in the pub, Eddy has knack for going off on personal over-sharing tangents, that will be sure to get the room bouncing from laugh to laugh. “This cheerful and happy looking comic gave an engaging performance that everyone enjoyed. A fast moving set and he built up a lot of momentum. The makings of a formidable act and his energy fills the room.” NottsComedy Review “A cheeky, wonderfully engaging delivery mixed with excellent writing and quick thinking. Join us for a free night of live comedy, featuring some of the brightest and best comics in the country. Enjoy hours of laughter with these incredible acts : Alex Hylton (MC) Best Show Winner Leicester Comedy Festival 2020 As Heard on BBC Radio 5 Live’s The Squad ‘Hylton takes charge of a room, fluent and funny storytelling is second nature to this comic’ – Wee Review Alexandra Krekan (Opener) Very dark humour, so just like the Boy Scouts- Be Prepared Multiple sell-out shows at Leicester Comedy Festival 2022 “A joy to be sharing the stage with Alexandra Krekan, who seamlessly flitted from her pre-prepared material to spontaneous references to audience members and the night’s previous acts. Even though sometimes her inherent subject matter might be dark, she managed to deliver jokes on these topics in a refreshingly cheeky and light style, garnering lots of loud laughs along the way” – David Eagle Doug Carter (Headliner) Winner of the Midlands Comedy Awards Best Newcomer and Rising Star in consecutive years, 2018 and 2019. Notts Comedy Review Best Newcomer, 2018. NCF New Comedian Competition winner 2019. This guy is one to watch’ – Comedy Lounge Hull. ‘Carter had the audience eating out of the palm of his hand almost as soon as he picked the mic up.’ – Peter Fox – Notts Comedy Review Adam Unwin A big fan of fresh bread, giving blood, and disappointing old primary school teachers when they meet up years later. After 5 years spent performing up and down the country with award-nominated improv troupes, Adam’s finally written something down. Adam brings an incredible amount of energy to the stage and is instantly funny. “So funny it’s annoying” – Kevin Daniel Patrick Draper English comedian of the year finalist. “A bulletproof opening act with an inventive turn of phrase and endearingly droll delivery. Guarantees the audience is entertained throughout’ Stage fright comedy Kevin McDonnell McDonnell is a good writer who has a cracking sense of words and language. Combine these with down to earth references that are just that bit slightly surreal and you’ve got a winning combination. I can see McDonnell developing into a very good story teller. Tonight his set went down a storm. Notts Comedy Review – Dec 2022

Along the way he has learned life lessons such as – ‘never take a first date to watch you perform comedy’ and ‘there are no 24 hour petrol stations in rural Wales.’ He has become increasingly grumpy and his comedy focuses on (amongst other things) politeness, getting old and the joys of long term relationships. Rob is the resident MC at Stamford Arts Centre and comes with several years oif experience on the comedy circuit.
